Lambda Chi Alpha National
Lambda Chi Alpha was founded nationally at Boston University by Warren Cole. The goal of Lambda Chi Alpha is to shape and mold gentlemen for
the real world. The basis of shaping these gentlemen is built upon four main principles: patriotism, morality, friendship, and learning. Lambda Chi Alpha is the third largest fraternity nationwide, and continually growing as we have achieved over two-hundred thousand members. Through this, one has the chance to take part in something special and share a bond with people that one would never be able to otherwise. One of the things that Lambda Chi Alpha is most proud of is the national food drive which has raised numbers as great as 300 million pounds of
food.

Lambda Chi Alpha at University of Maryland
Although Lambda Chi Alpha started at the University of Maryland in 1921, the chapter we know today originated much more recently. In 1995, a group of students from Easton Hall were hoping to join a fraternity, but could not seem to find one where they felt was for them. They in turn researched and worked hard to bring Lambda Chi Alpha Epsilon
Pi Zeta back to the University of Maryland as a colony. By 1998, we received our charter officially, and were granted housing in 7 Fraternity Row in the summer of 2001. There have been 972 initiated brothers on this campus, and about 60 brothers were active last year when we won the Most Improved Chapter on Campus award. Lambda Chi has given
many men the gift of life long friendships that cannot be achieved on an every day basis, and this holds true for the brothers who are currently still enrolled, it has made college an experience that one could not imagine being without. The leadership opportunities that you available within Lambda Chi Alpha are priceless in preparing you for life after college. It is truly impossible to put the experience of Lambda Chi Alpha into words.
